This research is being undertaken by Zoe Hughes, a Doctoral candidate with University College Cork.
The project received ethical clearance from the University College Cork Social Research Ethics Committee in November 2020 (Log 2020-159)
The first part of this research was a large scale survey of family carers who identify as part of the queer/ LGBTQIA+ community.
This survey was completed in 2021, and you can see my poster presentation outlining the initial results of the survey, which I presented at the Sexuality & Social Work conference in July 2023, here. This poster won Best Scientific Poster at the conference.
